Compound Bow recipe and unlock in Permafrost
Check the confusing bow blueprint names and the materials listed for the Compound Bow.

Check Blueprints, then the unlocked item
Open Blueprints, rather than Skills. Bow entries can use confusing names: an entry labelled Crude Bow can point to the Compound Bow, while Player Crude Bow points to the ordinary Crude Bow.
Inspect the unlocked item shown by the entry before holding the learn action. The Compound Bow entry lists 1 Blueprint Point. After learning, check the workbench list for Compound Bow by its output name.

The recipe produces one bow. Check the live workbench entry before committing materials; learning the confusingly named entry does not guarantee the recipe will appear in every save.
If it does not appear
Check the learned entry’s output and the station you are using. Spending additional skill points is not a reliable fix for a missing blueprint recipe. Avoid repeatedly paying for similarly named entries.
